Ryan called us about 7pm again. He made it through three mountain passes and is going to try and camp at Phillips Lake about twenty miles outside of Baker City. Hopefully he'll do a little shopping before he heads towards Halfway (is it still Half.com)?

(From Ryan's Parents):
Ryan left Bend late Friday, camping at the Ochoco reservoir east of Prineville at about 7pm.  On Saturday he travelled through the Ochoco mountains and camped overnight in Mitchell in a free city park. There he met some other bikers, Eliza & Blake, who are also headed east and decided to bike with them for a couple of days. On Sunday he checked in with us at 6pm letting us know that he was in Mt. Vernon staying at a youth hostel there overnight. They are sharing pics and videos of their travels tonight. He plans to try to make it to Baker City by Tuesday, where he says he'll be able to update his blog personally. He ran into a teacher of his in Dayville, Mr Hutter was travelling there with his family.
He wants everyone to know he is having a great time. -Ron
